Version 3.4.0 of xrpld, the reference server implementation of the XRP Ledger, is available. It introduces LendingProtocolV1_1 and fixCleanup3_4_0 and permanently incorporates fixAMMOverflowOffer into the protocol. XRPL node operators are encouraged to upgrade promptly to maintain service continuity.
LendingProtocolV1_1 extends Single Asset Vaults and the lending protocol with fixed-term vaults and cash-basis accounting. The release also includes richer RPC metadata, transfer controls for LPToken associated with non-transferable MPTs, more cautious online deletion when a node has recent gaps in its history, and compilation and serialization fixes.
The release matters for XRPL infrastructure, but it should not be confused with automatic Mainnet activation of every new feature. Amendments follow the network's validation and governance process. For XRP, the significance is primarily infrastructural: a more robust server and new tools for financial applications do not, by themselves, guarantee adoption or a price effect.
