Primary sources are preferred for official announcements, regulatory documents, technical specifications and court decisions. Reputable independent media are used for corroboration and context.

Company press releases are treated as statements by that company, not as independent validation. Sources are shown to readers whenever practical.

Social posts, rumors and unattributed claims are not sufficient on their own for publishing a material assertion.
