Period: September 2026

As of 3 September 2026, Ripple's transparency page reports $2,395.6M of RLUSD in circulation and $2,517.7M in reserve funds. Ripple states that RLUSD is backed by U.S. dollars and other cash equivalents held in segregated accounts, with monthly attestations by an independent accounting firm.

Price alone is insufficient to assess RLUSD. More relevant criteria include the quality and liquidity of reserves, redemption mechanisms, regulatory framework, market depth, payment integrations and actual use in settlement or tokenization.

For XRP Radar, it is also important not to confuse RLUSD with XRP. The two assets can coexist on XRPL but have different economic functions. Higher RLUSD activity can contribute to network usage without automatically creating a proportional relationship with XRP's price.
